Hidden Beach is located on the beatiful Mayan Riviera, just one hour south of Cancun. www.hiddenbeachresort.com |
Greetings from Hidden Beach - The World's Only 5 Star, Gourmet Inclusive, Clothing Optional Resort. "Clothed when practical, nude when appropriate."
The Jay Birds flew down in January to whoop it up for a third time at Hidden Beach! Their days were filled with lounging and games, their evenings with lovely dining and champagne. And the Don Julio was ever present. Thanks to the whole gang for choosing Hidden Beach as a frequent vacation destination. It is our pleasure to host you and we hope to see you back again in paradise very, very soon.
As to where the expression "naked as a jaybird" originates, the jury is out. I throw it open to the Au Naturel readers to invent their own story.
Mine goes like this. Hidden Beach is on the migratory route of the Blue Jay, a bird species indigenous to the southerly regions of Canada. Every winter these lovely birds with their bright blue plumage head south to enjoy warmer temperatures. On their original voyages they endured the scrutiny of border guards when crossing from Canada to the U.S. then from the U.S. into Mexico. Each time they crossed they were subjected to rigorous searches by the agricultural authorities. After all, those feathers could be hiding a variety of seeds and other plant matter capable of spreading an epidemic throughout the vegetation of northern hemisphere! Eager to arrive at their destination, the cleverest of the flock opted to shed their feathers from the onset, allowing them to fly right by border crossings and come in for a landing at Hidden Beach… and that is how the expression "naked as a Jay Bird" was born!
The Gala Dinner is an exclusive members' event that offers cocktails, fine dining, great entertainment and lots of mingling.
The Moonlight Lounge offers the perfect venue for this sophisticated evening. Whereas once the event was strictly held on the dark side, the large group of Exotic members staying at Hidden Beach was the perfect excuse to import the party.
It was truly a night to remember. Mariachi's took to the Moonlight stage, trumpeting and strumming their romantic songs out over the seas. Members enjoyed a succulent surf and turf menu, got better acquainted then danced the night away

Alfredo Ruiz Vazquez (Fredy)
Oh how is magical little fingers ease away the stress! Alfredo Ruiz Vazquez is one of Hidden's most talented massage therapists.
Alfredo, who simply goes by Freddy has been trying to improve his English, but he receives little help from his clients who only utter words like umph, oooOOoo, uuuuuh. Needless to say his vocabulary has not grown much even though he spends day in and day out with tourists.
The truth is Freddy loves his job and likes the Au Naturel concept of the resort very much. "I feel very happy working here." he says.
Interestingly enough he sees his job as a way of helping people. "I like making people feel better. When someone is really stressed or sore, they need help to relax and I'm just the guy for the job. Being able to do that for someone is very satisfying, he says.
You would never guess it by looking at his youthful grin, but Freddy is 31 and married with three children. He adores his wife's cooking and is a truly devoted family man. His aspiration - doing what he likes and doing the best that he can for his family.
